This one will be short and to the point. My hard drive crashed, and it’s going to cost $2718 to potentially recover it.
First, thanks for being here for me. Reading my books, reviewing my books, and sharing them with others have been instrumental in my future as an author. You’ve done an incredible job!
That being said, I need to step back and re-evaluate. It’s time to categorize this as a hobby. Meaning: this is something I pay a lot of money and time into without any returns other than enjoying what I am doing.
I love writing, but it isn’t showing enough returns to pay for itself let alone anything more such as what it costs to live in this country or on this planet. So, I need to take a step back!
What this means for you
Nothing. You just read and review as much as you’ve already done. I, on the other hand, need to stop acting like I am an author making a living. I am a simple man who is writing books, but working a full time job to actually support myself and make ends meet.
What’s going on?
My hard drive crashed, and it shall cost $2718 (see more here, https://www.gofundme.com/f/travis-writes-books ) to recover the lost books and all the other things. This means I can’t live as I have. It means changes. Good news though, for you it only means a slower rate of publishing of my works, and fewer newsletters as I take on my financial responsibilities.
I shall keep writing, but must put other priorities first.
Thank you, for everything…
Thanks. I mean that, and truly appreciate each and every person who has ever read one of my books and perhaps reviewed it.
Hey Trav. So sorry to hear about this. Absolutely heartbreaking. I was shocked when I saw it's gonna cost even more to potentially recover.
